To help Minnesota's communities improve building code compliance and promote consistency in code implementation, the Energy Code Support Program was developed to provide guidance, resources, and support to local building inspectors and the larger construction community.

Sponsored by the CenterPoint Energy, Minnesota Power, Minnesota Energy Resources, Otter Tail Power Company and Xcel Energy utilities in their 2024-20226 Energy Conservation Optimization plan, the program is designed as a state-wide resource to support code compliance.

Our program aims to educate and empower professionals in the construction industry to build sustainable, energy-efficient buildings that benefit both the environment and the community.  The program does not advocate for specific fuels sources and our training topics and technical resources we are responsive to the local community's interest and involvement.
